Feeding Boston’s Future — One Meal at a Time

Boston Kitchen Initiative provides free, nutritious meals to school-aged children, leveraging government support and community partnerships to make a real difference.

Our mission

Boston Kitchen Initiative is a nonprofit program dedicated to ensuring that every school-aged child in Boston has access to healthy meals. By leveraging government funding and community partnerships, we serve nutritious meals at no cost to families, creating healthier students and stronger communities.

With the construction of our new state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, we are expanding our capacity to feed thousands more children each week while setting a new standard for food programs in schools. House painting

Our Story

What began as a small act of kindness—feeding just 30 students at a single school—has grown into a citywide mission to nourish children in need. Today, the Boston Kitchen Initiative serves over 500 students across four schools, preparing more than 1,000 meals every day.

Our focus is on inclusivity and respect for dietary needs. We specialize in meals that meet kosher, halal, and other dietary requirements, ensuring that every child receives nutritious, delicious food that aligns with their traditions.

From humble beginnings to making a meaningful impact across Boston, our journey is driven by one goal: to make sure no child goes hungry. Roofing Gutters
